USA grown hardwoods are a renewable, biodegradable and sustainable resource.
On the Oregon Coast stands Cape Meares Lighthouse, with the distinction of being its shortest lighthouse, only 38 feet tall. Named after Captain John Meares, it was built in 1889. Because of its Fresnel lens and being situated on a steep sea cliff, Cape Meares Light can be seen for 21 miles out to sea. It was deactivated in 1963 and is now owned by the Oregon State Parks Department.
In this Nestled Pines origin design, this cute little light tower and house are laid against a the state outline of Oregon, inscribed with the Tillamook, Oregon.
The ornament is cut from solid Black Cherry hardwood grown and milled in the USA, and finished with a non-toxic, food-safe oil to bring out the beauty of the wood and to protect it for years.
Made in Wisconsin. Inspected and packaged by hand, it is completed with a red satin ribbon for hanging anywhere.
